DUBLIN 12 FEATURES IN THE IRISH TIMES PROPERTY

Crumlin

Our project for the energy upgrade and refurbishment of a 1940’s end of terrace former council house features on the cover of today’s Irish Times Property supplement under the headline “More Light Less Energy Loss in D12”.

The existing 1940’s house had a BER rating of an F, the aim was to upgrade it to current building regulation standards and achieve the highest BER rating possible for this house type. This was achieved through the replacement of the doors and windows, insulation and upgrading the electrics, plumbing and heating system throughout.

Thanks to Emma Cullinan.

The blank East facing wall, continuously lit internally by rooflights is designed to create a natural boundary & to conceal the open nature of the other side of the house, revealed when entered.
