This project is for a lower ground floor extension and refurbishment of a two storey over garden level semi-detached redbrick Victorian dwelling on Palmerston Road.
The brief was to reconfigure and extend the existing garden level to create a bright open plan family area incorporating kitchen, dining & living spaces and to improve the connection of this level with both the main part of the house and the rear garden.
A new brickwork extension, opening out to the garden on all three sides and rooflit to allow light into the depth of the plan, contains the new kitchen and dining area and is connected to the existing rear wall of the house by a glazed link which allows the existing brickwork to the rear wall to remain visible internally.
