This project involved the complete refurbishment of and extension to
a 1930’s semi detached three storey dwelling.
A brick clad volume, with reference to the existing brickwork front entrance
porch and in contrast to the pebbledash finish of the existing house, is
wrapped around the front, side and rear of the house, providing fully glazed
open plan living areas and ancillary facilities.
The new volume is connected to the existing house by a glazed link and
flooring material, which runs through the existing floor plan, extension,
external terrace and turns up to form the party wall.
